As the year comes to a close, our team likes to take the time to reflect on all of our accomplishments from the last 12 months. This has become a wonderful way to celebrate our wins and take a moment to acknowledge all of the hard work everyone has contributed. Here are our 2023 agency highlights:
1. Worked with Cavill + Wicks to promote their candles ahead of the holidays generating coverage in Elle Canada, National Post, VITA, Hello!Canada, and Chatelaine to name a few.
2. We helped promote Southern Gulf Island Tourism’s Art of Nothing Campaign and The Art of Nothing Gallery – an immersive art installation pop-up with a Media Relations campaign, and Media & Influencer preview event. You can read more about it in this VITA interview.
3. We conceptualized, coordinated, and executed a sold-out event at client Sandhill’s Urban Winery in downtown Kelowna to celebrate the launch of Jillian Harris and Tori Wesszer’s latest cookbook, Fraîche Food, Fuller Hearts. The event had 175 guests and tickets sold out within 48 hours! Watch a recap of the event here.
4. We helped our client Odihi promote the Bigger Ideas Conference™. This event focused on women’s education and empowerment. We secured interviews with the founder Efe Fruci in the Georgia Straight, BC Business and CBC.
5. We partnered with re:Naissance to promote their annual IndieFest. The festival brought together artists from around the country for the 10-day long event in Vancouver. We secured 34 mentions leading up to, and during the event, some notable coverage includes: Stir, Global, BC Business, Georgia Straight, Vancouver Magazine, and CTV.
6. We celebrated a couple of new releases for Sandhill Wines including the launch of Sandhill Wines’ 2022 Rosé in April and their new Sparkling Wine in September where we hosted virtual media tastings for both with key wine media. These tastings lead to coverage in the Globe + Mail, Vancouver Magazine, John Schriener on Wine, Kelowna Now, and others!
7. We celebrated 1 year since our rebrand of kin at our annual team retreat in Sechel, BC where the team enjoyed 3 days of connecting, learning, planning and having fun.
8. Completed another year of Home Shows, the Winnipeg Renovation Show, BC Home + Garden Show, Winnipeg Home + Garden Show, and Vancouver Fall Home Show.
9. We celebrated work anniversaries including Claire (6), Riley (3), and Marin (2).
10. We helped Kamloops-based family business, Erwin’s Fine Baking & Delicatessen announce and promote their skills-based contest they’re running, to hand their bakery, a beloved community staple, over to new owners in a very unique way. We helped this new client spread the word about the contest through media relations, social media, and digital advertising. The contest was picked up by outlets such as CBC, the Vancouver Sun, and Daily Hive.
11. We executed a media & influencer campaign for ongoing client Superflux Beer Company for the launch of their new permanent patio at the brewery.
12. Executed an influencer campaign for Peller Estates to promote the launch of their new sparkling wine, Secco Bubbles. Influencers were excited about the wine and we generated 321k impressions through this campaign.
13. Worked with our client Monstercat on another successful Monstercat Compound, which brought together local and international DJs and producers for a one-day event in Railtown. We secured coverage leading up to the event to drive ticket sales including CTV News Vancouver, Curiocity, Canadian Beats featuring Kelland, Daily Hive Vancouver, Miss 604, Vancouver Magazine, and the Vancouver Sun in print and online.
14. We celebrated 1 year of working with Wildflower Mercantile, some of the notable coverage from the last year includes: the National Post, BC Business, Chek News, The Province, Vancouver Sun, VITA.
15. Supported FDF Brandz new store openings across Canada including Famoso’s St Albert, AB (Re)Opening, Ricky’s Sechelt, Ricky’s x Famoso SOLO, and more.
16. We celebrated Fat Burger Canada’s first Toronto location! We worked with Fat Burger to generate excitement and buzz around the opening by building brand awareness, generating media coverage, and inviting media and influencers for an exclusive sneak peek before it opened to the public.
17. Our team continued to prioritize learning with several virtual workshops, in-person events, and panels, as well as Marin completed her WSET Level 1.
18. Part of our team set off to Cabo for a working vacation in February.
19. We celebrated some team promotions including Claire’s promotion to Agency Director, Marin’s promotion to Account Lead, and Riley’s promotion to Sr. Account Lead.
20. We worked with hundreds of content creators and influencers to successfully execute multiple campaigns and brand launches.
21. We continued to generate video content with multiple content shoots for clients across the board including Marin’s venture to Niagara-on-athe-Lake for a full-day video shoot at Trius Winery, Peller Estates, and Thirty Bench.
22. We worked with several new clients including Erwin’s Fine Baking, ABC Country, Fatburger, IndieFest, Cavill&Wicks, Inspired Travel Group, Odihi, GoodBeing, Southern Gulf Islands, Jolt Performance, Sidekick Dating, Glimmer, and TufTruck.
23. We celebrated a week of holiday fun which included office days, snowshoeing, dinner at one of Vancouver’s new restaurant Gary’s, an afternoon at Tality Spa, and of course, beers at our client Superflux Brewery.
