Account Coordinator

Account lead – Full time – Canada

Ambitious and creative with a desire to support the execution of public relations and digital strategies, you are looking to make a splash with a growing team. As Account Coordinator, you are:

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting tactical execution for accounts, integrating media relations with social media management and influencer + brand engagement opportunities, according to each account’s scope of work
  • Contributing to strategic planning and ideation on new accounts
  • Providing research and supporting documentation for press materials including pitches, press releases, press kits and media advisories
  • Developing targeted media and influencer contact lists according to campaigns and subject areas
  • Assisting at photo shoots  
  • Executing social media posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google, including ongoing engagement and organic follower-building
  • Providing copywriting and proofreading/editing support where required, for everything from press materials to social media content calendars
  • Conceptualizing, coordinating and executing experiential events, brand engagements/co-branding activations, and influencer marketing campaigns
  • Building and maintaining relationships with writers, editors, bloggers, on-air personalities, producers, influencers, and other notable individuals 
  • Tracking media hits, social media mentions, and compiling regular client reports
  • Provides relief for Account Lead when required, and acts as a support when needed
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Core competencies:

  • Recent public relations training at an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Familiarity with the Canadian media landscape
  • Social Media Community Management & Design experience
  • Design capabilities in Photoshop, Canva, and ability to create social media related graphics and videos
  • A strong grasp on video content creation utilizing TikTok or Reels
  • Understanding of trends on social media and how to utilize these for your clients
  • Previous internship or practicum experience
  • Strong writing background


  • Experience using G Suite, Basecamp, Adobe Creative Cloud + Canva
  • Recent public relations training at an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Current driver’s license and access to vehicle
