Yard Athletics has a simple but important mission – to bring a raw, uncut, back-to-basics style of training to Vancouver. After expanding to its first permanent location on Pender Street in June 2020, Yard Athletics has grown considerably, boasting a 2,600 sq ft training facility and an incredible coaching staff. Offering a variety of services, including training, open gym memberships, nutrition coaching and more, Yard Athletics offers a full fitness experience for athletes of all levels. For those seeking training at the highest level, from a team that cares about form and function, Yard Athletics has built something special – something we want to help share with everyone.
Throughout our one year of work together, we took a strategic approach to updating Yard Athletics’ social platforms. From simplifying Instagram content to updating the newsletter templates and engaging with notable influencers, we helped spread the word about Yard Athletics to the city of Vancouver and beyond.
- Develop and implement a full social media strategy including video content, and manage all content creation/community management
- Revised their brand positioning to ensure it aligns with their current values and mission
- Engage targeted Lower Mainland influencers by inviting them in for complimentary training with the goal of securing social media mentions
- Coordinate on sight video and photoshoots providing shot lists and on-site support
- Curate semi-monthly social media content calendars for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook to establish a consistent and ongoing brand presence
- Develop and implement a digital advertising campaign around the launch for specific promotions and general brand awareness
- Develop and implement email marketing strategies by sending out weekly newsletters to promote gym offerings and promotions
- Develop and implement the entire email client journey from when a new client signs up to a long-term client
- Coordinated and designed a postcard through Canada Post direct mail marketing, targeting homes around Yard to offer a free trial for Small Group Training
- Supported with all in-gym marketing efforts to ensure messaging was concise and leveraged across email marketing and social media
